As we reflect on this last year, I’m sure we can all agree that it hasn’t been the

easiest. Heck for some it’s been one of the roughest years they’ve had in a while If not the roughest they’ve ever had. This year has prompted several losses. People have lost their homes and jobs, businesses have closed and some have even lost loved ones. Twenty-twenty has taken us all on an emotional rollercoaster to say the least.

But in spite of everything that’s happened this year I want to remind you all one thing; If you’ve made it this far, you’ve won. Just by simply opening your eyes you’ve already won half the battle. Many people didn’t make to see this day. I also want to remind you to keep pushing and never give up on yourself. You have to believe in yourself even when no one else does.

Trust me I know it’s extremely hard to believe in yourself when it seems like everything around you is falling apart but think of this year as the grooming or the season of preparation. Think of it as God molding and shaping you for what he has in store. Sometimes God had to break us down in order for us to be able to handle what he has planned. I’m sure we’ve all used a computer in some point in our lives. After using a computer you have to stop and reboot it. Think of twenty-twenty as the rebooting season.

Like most of you this year has been a challenge for me as well. To be honest my health has given me a run for my money. At times I've felt like such a failure. I remember telling myself the way I feel there’s no way I will ever be able to accomplish my goals. As always through it all my mom was my rock. She constantly reminded me that the race isn’t given to the strong nor the swift but the one that endures to the end. She also reminded me that the doctor told them I wouldn’t live passed the age of 10, so the fact that I woke up this morning was a blessing in itself. God’s giving me another chance to fulfill my purpose.

This year was a struggle but I made it and like Monica says “I’m still standing”. I’ve even accomplished a few things. I never thought I’d be writing a book and I never dreamed I would be a motivational speaker. If you truly know me then you know its like pulling teeth to get me to speak to someone I don’t know, not to mention being on someone’s youtube channel for world to see.

This year may have scarred you in many ways but it definitely did not break you. If you’re reading this you won. Remember to keep God first, keep pushing and never stop believing n yourself. You are your number one fan.

I wish you al very safe and prosperous 2021.
